iPhone battery replacement in Clemson: when and what it costs
A dying battery is quieter than a cracked screen: no obvious damage, just a phone that cannot be trusted past mid-afternoon. Most people replace the phone years before they need to. This page shows how to check whether the battery is actually the problem, what a fixed-price swap costs in Clemson, and what should be included when anyone opens the phone.
First, check whether it is really the battery
Two minutes, no tools: open Settings → Battery → Battery Health & Charging. If anything on this list is true, a battery swap is the fix:
- Settings → Battery → Battery Health shows Maximum Capacity at 85% or below.
- The phone dies at 20–30% instead of running down to zero.
- It shuts down or reboots when you open the camera or a game.
- It only works plugged in, or needs a power bank to get through a class day.
- The back glass or screen lifts slightly — a swelling battery pushing from inside. Get this one looked at the same day, not next month.
If Battery Health still reads above 90% and none of that sounds familiar, the battery is probably not your problem — a price quote from someone who looked at the phone beats a battery you did not need. Text us anyway; a bad charging port costs less than a battery and we will say so.
The fixed price, by model
These are the prices AP4PhoneSerivce charges for a battery replacement, quoted before you book and unchanged at pickup. The screen column is in the same table because the two jobs often come up together.
| Your repair | Battery | Screen |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone SE (3rd gen) | $45 | $60 |
| iPhone 11 | $50 | $70 |
| iPhone 12 | $50 | $80 |
| iPhone 13 | $50 | $90 |
| iPhone 14 | $55 | $100 |
| iPhone 15 | $60 | $120 |
| iPhone 16 | $65 | $140 |
Parts and labor carry a 90-day warranty. Every swapped battery is tested after the phone is closed, and the Battery Health reading is shown to you at pickup.
The honest list of your other options
- Apple’s own service — genuine battery and the cleanest software readout, but usually the highest price and the longest wait. If your iPhone is under AppleCare+, this is genuinely your best call; our fixed prices are for phones outside warranty.
- A new phone instead — sometimes the right answer, and we sell refurbished ones with their real battery health listed. But if your camera, screen and storage still suit you, $50 fixes the actual problem.
- A DIY kit — the adhesive strips and the battery connector make this the riskiest first repair we know. Cheapest on paper, most expensive when a ribbon cable tears.
- Where we are weaker, said plainly: we swap batteries in iPhones from the SE (3rd gen) through the 16 — no iPads, no watches, no Androids — and same-day means the founder’s hands, so text first to check today’s slot before you walk over.
